Also known as Calatrava Tower and Telefonica Tower. The construction of the television tower was begun in 1989 and its grand opening took place three years later – by the beginning of the 1992 Olympic Games. Its height is 136 meters. The architect of the building, created in the style of neo-futurism, made by Santiago Calatrava. The base of the tower is covered with a “broken mosaic” of shrapnel fragments – trencadis.
